These steps show how to add a bookmark to Mobile Safari that will paste text– an “iPastelet” bookmark.
Enter the text to be pasted, and then tap Make iPastelet to return to this page ready for Step 2.
Tap the add button in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen, then select Add Bookmark.
Take note of the name (or edit it), navigate to a bookmarks folder and then tap Save.

Now you will make an edit to turn the bookmark into an iPastelet.
Tap the Bookmarks button in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
Navigate through your bookmarks until you locate the folder containing the bookmark you saved in the previous step. Do not select the bookmark.
Tap Edit to modify the list and then tap on the bookmark created in the previous step.
In the editing panel, tap in the second field (it begins with “http:”). You need to make edits at the beginning of the text, so tap and drag the loupe all the way to the left.

Place the editing point between the “?” and the “j” then tap the delete key until the editing point is at the beginning of the line. When you are done, your bookmark should look like this:

The next time you visit a web page you can "paste" in text by selecting an iPastelet bookmark. Just click on the bookmarks icon.

Then tap on bookmark name you editied in the previous step. Mobile Safari will stay on the same page and the iPastelet will "paste" (insert) your text into a form field.
Using iPastelet for a password is a very bad idea. However, it should be fine for a user id, email address or other commonly used string or phrase.
iPastelet doesn't work reliably with Google sign-on pages. It seems to be because of the use of nested iframe tags with external sources.
I don't know how to change the iPastelet JavaScript code that crawls the DOM to handle this case.
